  1. Very cool – and in Invasion stripes and all. One of the DC3’s flying here in NZ was painted in that scheme when first restored in the late 1980s for the local Warbirds – masquerading as a C-47 – but in 2007 it was repainted as the DC-3 it actually was, representing one of the two VIP transports flown by No. 42 Squadron, NZ-3546.
