  1. Several points of interest here Tony. A new Royal Navy base in Bahrain is certainly a surprise. Especially since Britain hasn’t had a permanent Naval base in the Gulf since 1971. I am pleased to see that Members of the public are being urged to recognise the service and sacrifice made across all generations of the British Armed Forces including the most recent conflicts, in a series of new videos being produced by the Royal British Legion. Plus some incredible images from the Army photographic competition. Thanks for the post mate.

  2. Interesting round up Tony. Good to see the Typhoons ‘winning’ over the Flankers, although perhaps not top soviet pilots, it’s good they have the capability. A base in Bahrain is that going to upset the Russians I wonder?
