  1. Nice to see Harriet Harman so concerned for the welfare of Iraqi citizens. Perhaps it wouldn’t have been necessary if her glorious leader hadn’t wanted to drag the country into a war.

  3. Interesting that Defense News thinks that despite Brexit, Germany and the UK are strengthening their military ties. Reuters, the UK Defence Journal and Janes all suggest that the Germans want to collaborate with the French because the French military provides Germany with a boost given that the German armed forces are under-funded and in some disarray. Naval today reports that their corvette programme, once the envy of the world is in trouble. Earlier this year their newest corvette put to sea with a three degree list. They are running worn out leopard 2 tanks because all of the new ones are going to new customers and the German Defence Minister Ursula van der Leyen is having to quell allegations of Nazism within the ranks of the Bundeswehr. Hardly an advert for a long-lasting partnership with the British,
