Land Rover Series III HDL 163V

A collection of images of long wheelbase Land Rover Series III HDL 163V. The owner informed me that the vehicle had served with the RAF’s No.102 Squadron where it was used as an airfield hack and as such only had around 23,000 miles on the clock when he purchased it a few years ago. He told me he added the black to the camo and fitted the radio equipment himself. He also made the replica smoke grenade dischargers which are actually painted aerosol cans.

A collection of images of a Bedford RL logistics truck (52 EL 20) taken on the grounds at Caldicot Castle.

The Bedford RL was based on the civilian Bedford SCL 7-ton truck and over 74,000 were built between the 1950s and the 1970s during which time it became the British forces’ main medium truck before being gradually replaced by the Bedford MK/MJ series.
